About Dr. McGrorey

Donald McGrorey is a warm and engaging family physician and primary care doctor, who specializes in Family and Adolescent Medicine. He is certified by the American Board of Family Medicine to practice family and adolescent medicine (why is this important? Click here) . He is also a member of the American Medical Association; he is affiliated with the Centennial Hills Hospital.

Originally from Canada, Dr. McGrorey received his medical education at St. George’s University School of Medicine in the West Indies. He then relocated to the United States to attend the State University of New York, Buffalo, to complete his family practice residency at the Niagara Falls Memorial Medical Center. Upon completion of his residency, Dr. McGrorey practiced rural medicine across the United States, including New York, Texas, and Nevada. After relocating to Las Vegas in 2004, Dr. McGrorey practiced urgent care medicine for the next five years before becoming the Medical Director of Clark County Detention Center (2009-2010). Since then, Dr. McGrorey has participated in a variety of roles in both urgent and family care medicine. A lifelong goal, Dr. McGrorey opened his own practice in 2013.

His mission as founder of Medical Care Now is to provide patients with the utmost respect and individualized care. He strives to circumvent the typical obstacles that doctors employed by others must endure; this allows Dr. McGrorey to provide his patients with care "above and beyond" that of other medical practices. He welcomes "challenging" cases where he could uncover and diagnose patients' illnesses, resulting in more effective treatment.

Dr. McGrorey is married to Michelle, a Registered Nurse who also participates in the day-to-day operations of Medical Care Now. He has four children: Donny, Erik, Marissa, and Patrick. He was a competitive athlete in school, excelling in track, basketball and football. To this day, he maintains an active lifestyle and is avid sports fan (go USC Trojans!)

Dr. McGrorey went above and beyond in providing excellent, tailored care for me and my family. He is very thorough, compassionate, and attentive.
